Review: Soft Satin Lip Cover, Burberry Lip Cover in Sepia Pink

When it comes to autumn, neutral colours are very much involved. These colour much more wearable than bright summer shades. Burberry has launched their Autumn Winter 2012 Collection a while go and I have reviewed their Velvet Foundation previously. This is an additional shade for their lip cover range which was launched along the Autumn Winter 2012 Collection.

Burberry Lip Cover adds a touch of radiance. The lightweight combination of nourishing oils and gel dispersed pigment ensures intense moisture and long lasting colour. Burberry Lip Cover contains anti-aging ceramides for fuller lip definition. Apply like a normal lipstick or apply to the finger and press into the lips for a more effortless natural colour – Burberry Lip Cover

It looks like ordinary lip stick but I love the iconic Burberry check on it plus it locks with the lid using magnet. A very sleek and simple design.

The shade that I have here is Sepia Pink which is a deep pink, almost like the colour of wine. It’s a satin finish lipstick.

This lipstick coverage is sheer to medium and well pigmented. The finish has a tinge of glossiness and it glides easily on my lips when I applied it.

Lasting Power Test

  •  8:48AM – is where I freshly applied it
  • 11:47AM – a quick update before heading out for lunch, the lipstick wears off only at the inner lips
  • 12:41PM – came back from lunch, most of the lipstick is all gone except on the lip line and re-applied it after
  • 6:23PM – the lipstick stayed on except the inner lips

Most of the time, I was using straw to drink and when the lipstick wears off on my inner lips, my lips starts to get a tinge dry.

It does contain silicon if that is your concern.

Here is how I looked like with Burberry Lip Cover in Sepia Pink. I didn’t wear very much make-up and this is basically how I look like daily. With the lipstick, it creates a sophisticated and chic look.

Verdict?

This lipstick is worth for its packaging and quality. It’s lightweight but of course, I could still feel the lipstick on my lips. It glides on smoothly on my lips and doesn’t settle into the lines, being cakey or bleed. It does have a very mild honey scent to it. Pretty moisturising as it didn’t dry out my lips and the shade is buildable.
