Review: L’Oreal Paris Faux Cills Papillon, Great Lash Separation But …

If you have not seen my Instagram, I have about 5 mascaras in my makeup pouch recently. This makeup pouch is where I normally keep my most frequently use or everyday makeup. L’Oreal Paris Faux Cills Papillon was one of the mascaras between the five.

L'Oreal Paris Faux Cills Papillon

Lashes Spread Out like Butterfly Wings: More Visible and Magnified!

The revolutionary Elastometric Asymmetrical Brush inspired by butterfly wings. For the first time every, L’Oreal Paris creates an asymmetrical brush to fan out lashes so that they spread like butterfly wings.

Faux Cils Papillon’s brush works on lashes in three unique ways:

  • It’s top curvy side grabs lashes to curl and stretch out lashes so that they appear multiplied in just one stroke.
  • The side-angled tip helps elongate inner lashes out so that lashes are lengthened and separated.
  • Angled tip of the brush when applying to fan out lashes for a beautiful butterfly-wings effect.

Unique silky gliding formula

Faux Cils Papillon’s innovative formula softly envelops lashes for a silky effect, leaving them soft and smooth, never hard and clumpy. This is thanks to the formula’s unique Cocoon Fibres – fibres that are only 1.2mm long – and together with the brush, it can lift up lashes at the outer corner.

Last All day, smudge proof

With Faux Cils Papillon, you don’t have to worry about your mascara smudging at the end of the day. Lashes stay beautiful and spread out all day long, giving ou a long-lasting butterfly effect.

The result?

Double the butterfly-wings effect where lashes appear multiplied with just one stroke. Eyes can now flit about with flirty fluttery spread-out and magnified lashes.

L'Oreal Paris Faux Cills Papillon 2

This mascara comes a silver tube with blue sun rising-like lines to give the immensity of the product. It comes with waterproof formula which is great for those who has oily eyelids or lashes where tend to get smudges by the end of the day.

L'Oreal Paris Faux Cills Papillon Brush

The structure of the brush is very special by the look at it and the uniqueness of the mascara also comes from the brush. The brush was said to help to fan out lashes, separates and lengthens lashes effortlessly.

L'Oreal Paris Faux Cills Papillon Application

From the application, I could feel that it dries off real quick but yet to clump in any how I tried to apply it. The formula isn’t wet, just right to coat every lashes and the brush does separates my lashes which I believe could have function to made my lashes to be clump-free!

L'Oreal Paris Faux Cills Papillon Before & After

My lashes seems to have a bit more volume and length. See it yourself that my lashes are so well separated. It also gives a little of lifting effect and also goes so well for lower lashes.

L'Oreal Paris Faux Cills Papillon Ingredients

The mascara does contains alcohol and silica which may not be suitable for those who are sensitive. Aside from this, they do contain beeswax, rice bran wax, jojoba oil, and soluble collagen which able to protect the lashes.

Above all…

I did expected more from this mascara for it’s fancy brush, however the outcome was unsatisfactory. I was expected va-va-voom lashes like some soft of fan out fake lashes. Though with this outcome, it gives a very nice definition to the lashes, no clumping and waterproof. Definitely, there is a need to use an eye makeup remover first before cleaning up the entire face with either cleansing lotion or oil. I do think that this mascara slightly on the pricier side as it is a drug store product.
