Beauty Diary Southern France Apricot Mask Review

I started to use my Beauty Diary Masks ever since I’ve mentioned they were dirt cheap masks. Being curious yet worry about how it will turn out later but this mask did not disappointed me, in fact, I’m amazed how great the mask worked on me. I’m starting to think that this mask worth every penny now!

As I opened Beauty Diary Southern France Apricot Mask sachet, it  doesn’t really have any smell but seeing a mask soaked with lots of essence. I took out the mask and found out there’s a plastic film that comes with it. I think it’s unnecessary for the film to be around, can anyone tell me what the purpose of it?

The essence was too much and it was dripping out of the mask when I took it out from the sachet but I didn’t waste it. I applied the excess essence onto my neck. The back of the mask sachet has description in Chinese (which I don’t know how to read) and ingredients listing in English. I browse on the internet to find out more details of this mask and found it’s description:

“My Beauty Diary Southern France Apricot Mask softens, smooths and highly moisturizes the skin. Apricot extract from southern France provides excellent moisturizing effect. It quenches the thirst of skin, leaving dry skin keenly comfortable. The skin surface will be inscrutably velvety to the touch. Added with extracts of highly moisturizing grain, such as oat, job’s tears and hydrolyzed rice protein, it gives more in-depth nourishing and nursing effect to dry skin. The stratum corneum is fully soaked in moisturizing ingredients. It maintains skin’s suppleness, elasticity, fairness and clearness. It is suitable for normal skin. It is especially recommended for dry skin and combination skin that tends towards dryness.”

How to use it:

  • After cleansing and toning steps, tear off the package of the mask and gently place it on the face.
  • Leave on for about 20 – 30 minutes. Then remove the mask.
  • Massage the remains, if any, into the skin. Follow with normal skin care procedure

Ingredients: Purified Water, Glycerin, 1,3-Butylene Glycol, Proplene Glycol, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Fruit Extract, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, Coix Lacryma-jabi (Job’s Tears) Seed, Triethanolamine, Polysorbate 20, Methylparaben, hyaluronic acid, Canthan Gum, Sodium PCA, Citric Acid, Algae Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Hydrolized Rice Protein, Sorbitol, Alow Barbadensis Gel, Gentiana Lutea Root Extract, Malva Sylvestris (Mallow) Extract, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane) Extract, Acer Saccharum (Sugar Maple) Extract, Citrus Anrantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Extract, Styrene Acrylaes Copolymer, Dimethylsilanol Hyaluronate Carbomer, Polyglutamic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Fragrance.

I’m in love with this mask ♥! The mask didn’t provide enough slits  around it but only two near the chin area. I had to make small folds at the cheek area and the opening for lips was a little small that it covered my upper lips. Although the thickness of the sheet is quite thin, but the result was amazing! After removing the mask , I crumpled the mask,  start using it to wipe on my face and I massage my face. It left my face feeling so soft, hydrated and bouncy *poing~*.

At first, I was feeling skeptical that I do not have to wash my face after the mask because I was afraid that it could be leave my skin feeling sticky but I was wrong. The next morning, my face was all glowing and the mask didn’t break me out. Also, I notice my acne scars are less visible. They are reduce in terms of the redness and size. I guess it’s alright to continue using this mask.

PROs:

  • Cheap – only RM1
  • Left skin velvety soft, smooth and hydrated
  • Reduce acne scars
  • No sticky feeling after the mask
  • Making my skin glow

CONs:

  • Dodgy – the price for this mask & sold in night market
  • Thin sheet
  • Insufficient slits around the mask

My rating: 4/5

  1. You’re the second person to review this but your review was better because it was more indepth! Both of you guys said the mask is good. I heard it was sold in a set with each mask servinc a different purpose.

If the mask works so well, why is it sold on the downlow? Is it not regulated or something??

    • Thank you sweetie. I heard lots of good reviews on this brand of the mask.

In Malaysia, its sold in our local drugstore and night market. People doubt on the authenticity from the night market ones but I gave it a try. In the local drugstores are really expensive, at the range of RM6-10 per piece maybe.
