It’s been a very long time

Okay! Okay! First of all I appreciate those readers who been patiently waiting for me to update but I was sort of busy after I left Melbourne. I’m really sorry! I have finished my studies and went for graduation ceremony. It was my pride to go up at the stage to take my certificate. Sadly my parents couldn’t be here but it’s all right. I brought back the certificate and photos proudly for them. Tears of joy did not flow from my eyes but I was happy that I have Jowie, his parents and friend who came along in the ceremony to celebrate and be happy for us too. Thanks a lot Jowie, Uncle Jeremy, Aunty Judy, Joel and Victor for attending the ceremony. Now I have graduated with degree, Bachelors of Human Resource Management with Marketing as a minor.

Besides that I have enjoyed myself way too much traveling some part of Australia. Where did I went? First is Tasmania. It is a lovely place to visit, beautiful and wonderful. Its really a cold and windy during the winter. The scenery was amazing! Fantastic brewery tour, busy Salamanca Market, and many more.

Then Jowie and I decided to go back as soon as we receive our bond deposits back but we didn’t want to go back directly to Malaysia. Our first stop was Perth before heading back. At this stop, we took the chance to visit Esther and Diana, our friends back in KDU College. We bunked at Esther’s house for a week. Perth is really fun! We even took a tour to visit the Wildlife Park, chocolate factory, wine tasting, and lots more. The best thing about this tour is we get to have a feel of typical Australian BBQ, the atmosphere and food especially the tour guide a.k.a the boss’s homemade apple pie. It was delicious!

Next stop was Singapore. Those cold days in Australia are pretty strong this year. When I came down from the plane in Singapore, it was totally warm and humid. I quickly took out my boots in the airport food court. Singapore is pretty much almost the same with Malaysia especially the food. Jowie’s cousin is working here and we did catch up with him.

I came back without telling my mum, so called giving her a surprise. We took the KTM (train) from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur and it took them to complete the journey six hours. I will never going to take the train again. Jowie’s parents picked us and send me home. It still couldn’t stand the weather yet, very warm. Maybe get used to the weather in Australia, always being cold except for summer. The next morning I woke up early and hoping in front of my mum tried to scare her. The smile that filled in her face was priceless. I could see that she’s really happy that I’m back but she never says it. It’s usual.

A week after returning, I went to catch up with my best friend, Fyda. I was acting like a foreigner when I saw her approaching her as though I was lost. She jumped and screaming seeing me. Damn I missed her dearly! Ever since then I have been seeing her every week to get some ‘project’ done.

The project that I have just mentioned is an online fashion blog, Fashionoid. This blog is created by Fyda but was inactive for a lot of months. I have approached Fyda with a revival plan and she is totally excited about it. This week is the revival of this blog and I hope to get support from you. It’s your choice to subscribe it or be friends with it or maybe bookmark it to be our loyal reader. If you have opinion, you can always email to us at

Great Ocean Road (GOR)

Remember I said that we were going on a trip on my last post? Yeah, the Great Ocean Roap trip. We rented a Kia Carnival car to drive to the place, with the help of our navigator, Kartik. We reached GOR about two hours of driving. The night before we bought some food and drinks with us, there are a slab of beer, two packs of goon, chips, bread and bacon. What else? I couldn’t really remember. Everyone was pretty hyper when we started our journey even laughing our Tekken’s driving skills when there is signboard directing us to GOR and he kept asking ‘Where? Where?’ and made every one of us to actually laughed and sigh on him at the same time. While we are on our way, all of us starting to get hungry and we took some bacon that we cooked to go along with bread.

There are so many beautiful places, the beach and everything looks so beautiful! As we all took turns to drive except for me (I didn’t have my license with me anyways), we stop wherever we think we want to see. We did our sightseeing till evening and drove to Lorne to have our dinner. At night, we took our beer and drank it by the seaside. It was really cold but we could all bear it with our jackets except for Kartik running around with his jacket, blanket, and a balaclava on his head. It was really hilarious. Tim and I even made our version of apostles. I found something which look like a leaf but it was too dark. I burned that thing using the tea lights where Tekken had sponsored and said to light it by the beach side. Finally later at night, we found that it was really getting cold and we decided to head back to the car. Before we start settling down in the car, the boys start brushing their teeth by the street side. It was hilarious when there is no one there and the public washroom was closed.

Since everyone was in budget, we decided to sleep in the car for the night. Tekken drove to somewhere quiet and stopped and camp in the car. It wasn’t really comfortable for me as I was having backache and headache the next day. There were six of us in the not-to-big of a car. The morning was turning cold even six of us felt really cold in the car while everyone tried to get some sleep. I think Kartik had the best sleep for the night since he said so. Most of us hardly sleep but Joel did sleep for some time where he was snoring so loud. His snore was with three different tones! Hahaha! Many of us were having some laugh just to talk about his snore. We woke up about 6:30 a.m. We chatted for some time and later decided to check if the washroom is open since everyone needs to use the bathroom. Thank god the washroom has opened. My hair and face was oily but there wasn’t any shower in the public washroom. All I can do is to wash my face and brush my teeth. The worse thing is the morning was cold and there wasn’t any warm water in the washroom. When I’m done, I was freezing cold! Since I didn’t get enough sleep, I get grumpy easily. No one really wants to speak with me except for Jowie, who was trying to calm me down. We all had our breakfast at the pastries nearby. I had hot chocolate, donut and garlic bread shared with Jowie. The donut was good because instead of using only sugar for flavoring, it’s a mixture of sugar and cinnamon. It makes the donut with better fragrant. Delicious! Jowie didn’t have enough, he went to the car and made himself a strawberry jam bread. Poor Jowie didn’t get to fill his tummy full. We continued our journey after that.

We still see many beautiful beaches but this time we can’t walk near it. This time the views are from cliffs. So, obviously we can’t jump down. The cliffs are all very high. We took lots of pictures. We finally came to the Twelve Apostles, one of the famous places to visit when it comes to GOR. It was a real beauty. There are description written along the place how it the Apostles being formed. It’s really interesting. We manage to visit more places along the way. Some places we went through, we saw many cows and sheep by the farm. Too bad we didn’t to see any kangaroo or koala or even wallaby. We took the Princess highway from Warnambool to get back to Melbourne because most of us didn’t want to use those curvy roads which is sickening and giving us headaches. It was a really tiring journey but the beautiful place made it worth while. Jowie and I slept well during the journey back home. We had our dinner at Kew (which is KFC, and usually we had it when we are tipsy, surprisingly we are not this time!). I came back and had a hot warm shower, put on mask and didn’t want to do anything else and grab the magazine that I purposely bought for the journey in case it is boring which it not at all.

Fluoro Party at Room Nightclub

Party? Let’s go party! What a great event that the SSAA has come out with. It’s just the starting of the semester and I enjoyed very much.

Alright, what the Fluoro Party is all about? This party is FREE especially for Swinburne students (need to show them our student card) and other mates from different universities will need to pay $10. Those who were going are to dress in striking bright colors. What’s the point of naming it ‘Fluoro’ when you don’t brighten yourself in the club?

The club is so packed with people at 8:30pm. I was hoping I wasn’t overdressed for the night. I’ve just grabbed my MNG Basic top with jeans and match it with knee-high boots. Everyone in there enjoyed dancing and drinking so much. I just drank a come of lemonade vodka, it taste good but I’ve gotten thirstier. Later, my friends and I got bored and we went back to our apartment. Haha! We opened up our own vodka bottle and played cards with it. This is like a norm to us. We do this like every week to kill boredom. We know it’s unhealthy but what else can we do? Any idea?

St. Kilda

Racheal, Joel’s lovely girlfriend is here for a vacation. It was on the 19th August, where we have decided to go to St. Kilda. I really have no idea what do they have there but going there was a great experience.

Rides for Adults and Kids!

We took a tram to St. Kilda. When we reached, it doesn’t seem to have anything special until we saw Luna Park. Before that, there is a free Nescafe coffee promotion. Each of us grabbed different coffees and tasted one another’s! We took a small tour around Luna Park and found many different rides and games.

Next, we head to the beach. It was beautiful even words can’t describe it. You might want to come here yourself and take a look at it. We can see people playing fetch with their dogs, walking their dogs, storks, couples holding hands and have their own memorable moments.

As we walked, we reached a place called St. Kilda Breakwater Wildlife Area. We found some penguins hidden by the rock wall. They look afraid as many people were there to come and see them. We didn’t get to see any rakali in the water. By the way, rakali is a native water rat. I’ve never want to miss out the chance to see the penguin, so I climbed the rock wall with my boots! I was so scared that I would spoil my boots when I have just paid $15 for repair. Luckily, my boots are in good shape when I came down from the rock wall.

It was a lovely trip. At night, we still manage to go to the city for Hungry Jacks. After that, just a simple walk around town then we went back home.
