June 2012 Hits & Misses

June has been an eventful month with my friends who came back from Australia for a short break. We were busy with eating out, cycling, karaoke and movies. Other than that, there was Red Fashion Night @ Garibar, Guerlain Blogger Get Together with Maxime Poulin, Lancôme Absolue L’extrait, Get Photoshop Without Being ‘Photoshop’ with Talike Skin Retouch and Malaysia’s First Beauty Box Subscription, Fabulous Finds. If you hadn’t check any of it, please do so! For last month hits and misses, its a mixture of new and old products.

Lancôme Artliner has been one of their best seller and I received this complimentary from Lancôme. As soon as I heard the rave from Jean, I told myself I really have to give this a try. The tip is made out of foam and although its not the sharpest eye liner but it definitely did a great  job. Its easy to apply and remove, the foam tip doesn’t hurt, doesn’t smudge and matte finish. I think this is for MYR95 from Lancôme counter.

Guerlain Shine Automatique Hydrating Lip Shine in 260 Jardin De Bagatelle is one of my favourite. I reviewed this lipstick just last week, you may check it here. I usually use lip balm when I’m in my office because I’m too lazy to re-apply and I drink a lot of water. Those lip color is going to transfer to my cup. Since I got my hands on this lip stick, I have abandoned my lip balm. This is very moisturising and the shade is totally wearable for day and night. Surprisingly, I found myself re-apply this like a lip balm!

I received Essie Nail Polish in Vanity Fairest from my goody bag during Fabulous Finds Launch. We get the opportunity to get our nails done with the nail polish given. I would say this nail polish would be great if you’re looking forward on french manicure because of its opacity. From the outside, it looks like a decent baby pink nail polish but its very sheer on my nails. You may find this from My Nail Solution for MYR58.00.

I purchase Swanicoco Pore Care Tightening Serum from Qoo10 a while back when they were known as Gmarket, for SGD6.50 I believe. It was cheap and I bought two with regrets now. Other than it helps to moisturise my skin, I don’t see any enlarged pores being any smaller. Its came all the way from Korea and it just didn’t work for me although I have hit the bottom on the second bottle.

I purchase this quite a while back too, the Pantene All Day Hair Fall Protect Essence. I can’t live without hair serums or essence since I do color my hair very often. I don’t want my hair to be fried any more. This was for MYR10+ from Guardian and gave this a shot but no. It feels great when I apply it but my hair still get tangled and coarse. It doesn’t provide enough for my dry ends I would say.

What’s your highlight for last month?
