La Forêt Heating Pumpkin Enzyme Peel Mask Review

La Forêt is a premium skincare brand from South Korea and soon they will be launching in Malaysia! La Forêt is a botanical skincare that uses only organic ingredients. A few post before, I reviewed the La Forêt Gentle Berry Blossom Sugar Polish. It was a great scrub and let’s see how this Heating Pumpkin Enzyme Peel Mask work on me.

“La Forêt Heating Pumpkin Enzyme Peel Mask delivers pumpkin’s nourishing benefit into skin. Gently exfoliate dead skin cells and helps to correct cell damage. Leaves the skin detoxify and silky smooth.”

It contains pumpkin and mushroom. Just apply onto skin avoiding the eye area (you don’t want your eye area to swell up from the self-heating~) and leave it on for 5-10 minutes.

The texture is pretty thick, like a liquid glue. It looks like fine blended pumpkin, look yummy in a way too.

The self-heating really does the job, I could feel quite an intense heat as I apply the mask. It felt like as though there’s an increment of 5ºC on my face, I don’t recommend this for sensitive skin as you might feel there’s a fire on your skin 😮 . Self-heating mask is always recommended for those who have combination to oily skin.

Another way to describe the heat is as though you went into a sauna room of 75ºC minus the dryness. The mask somehow change its color while leaving it on. It turns into much milky shade but that doesn’t really bother me. Just wondering why. Does that mean that the ingredients oxidized?

I don’t seem to benefit anything from the mask yet. Maybe because I scrubbed my face with La Forêt Gentle Berry Blossom Sugar Polish before using this mask and probably the scrub has exfoliate the all the bad boys out. I can’t really judge as much because I’m only using this mask for once. Maybe in long term usage it does benefit your skin. It wasn’t too difficult to remove this mask and doesn’t stain my skin or my towel despite of its color.

    • I don’t know but I just couldn’t see much of a difference. Hopefully in long term, it does the job.
