On The Scene at Where Fashion Meets Technology @ TANGS Blackberry Workshop

It’s the collaboration between Tangs and Blackberry (in partnership with Celcom). When I saw the invitation from Facebook, I instantly could not hesitate and to go for it. It’s on 24th November 2010 (Wednesday) and there are three session for attendees to choose.

Session 1: 12:00pm – 2:00p.m

Session 2: 3:00pm – 5:00pm

Session 3 : 5:30pm – 7:30pm

I really appreciate that they provided different session because they’ll be able to cater to many people including me (working). The venue is at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, just behind my office! YAY! Therefore, I RSVP-ed and been confirmed on a day before the event. The workshop is free, just need to RSVP only.

Why am I even interested to go?

First, it’s fashion-related. It’s good to update what are the current trends available in Tangs and the mix and match for the season. Second, I was hoping that they’ll have extreme deal for Blackberry Torch. Previously, there was great deals outside Pavilion. They had  Blackberry Torch selling at RM8 for first 50 or 100 customers, RM88 for next 100 customers and RM488 for the rest.

I finished work at 6:00pm and rushed to Pavilion for the workshop. I was a little worried if they don’t allow me to go in at all. I was greeted by a lady (whom I forgot to ask her name, sorry!) who allowed me to get in quietly. Sneaky huh? Check out those plushies giving me a big smile upon my arrival silly.

It’s held at Tang’s Service Boulevard, I love how posh everything look like. Just like how I went for Special Premiere of Sex and The City 2.

I came late and I didn’t even register. I went there and ask if I could still go in and they ushered me to go in quickly. For one moment, I felt like I’m a VIP~ pleased

The presentation on fashion has already started. I felt a little embarrassed for crashing in between.

Along with it, Chambom also introduce one of the service provided by them which is Tangs Fashion Advisors. What they do is they provide a few package which includes fashion, makeup and hair styling makeover + photography session + light refreshments. Cool? That’s not the end yet! You’ll be able to bring back some Tangs merchandise and cosmetics! Check out their Fashion Styling Menu, here.

I’m really excited on the packages. I would love to try but I don’t think I could afford it at the moment. BAH! For those who is interested, you may call 03-2145 1886 to book an appointment.

After the fashion talk, time for some refreshment and that is about 7:00pm. It may seem like some ordinary food but I could tell you this is some good food! They served fried spring roll, satay, french toast with ham and ribena. They tasted really nice!

During refreshments, attendees were asking more in-depth questions.

Love their high table setup and BUM me that I didn’t notice the Blackberry talk was over. I was lingering around the area until 7:30pm. I never thought that it could be over that fast! I missed it, sad~ sad but they do have special packages for Tangs card members.

Fred not! I did not return home with empty hands at all. For those who attended, we were given Tang’s envelope filled with vouchers.

Let’s see what’s in there.

  • Tang’s Membership Card Brochure (I already have one!)
  • Two pieces of RM10 vouchers from Tangs

I was informed that they’ll have more workshops in future. I would like to suggest on getting more on the move like demonstration on attendees, walk around with in Tangs for what to pick or shopping tips, letting attendees to a mix and match and etc.

I really enjoyed the workshop except that I missed the Blackberry session. Urgh, don’t mention it again~

Thank you Tangs for the opportunity!
