Review: Cleansing Milk? I’m Confused!

‘Fresh and feathery, Velvet Cleansing Milk gently lifts away traces of pollution and make-up from the skin and eye area.
Results: The skin is soothed, toxins eliminated and make-up perfectly removed. Especially suited for sensitive skin.Rose water and lime-blossom offer the skin softness and freshness.

I received a Sampar Velvet Cleansing Milk sample-sized of 15ml to review and the full-sized product is the above image. What this does is to remove makeup and impurities on face, eyes and neck.

Since I have it in a sample-sized, the product packaging differs from the full size. I have here is like a deluxe sized sample tube. The nozzle is at the base of the tube and it looks like many classic tube nozzles. The full size comes with pump.

The texture is like light body lotion, creamy but not too rich or heavy. It has quite a heavy rose scent but I’m easy with it because I love rose scents!

Here are the ingredients listing for those who is concern on certain ingredients for allergies. By far, I have no bad reactions to this product. In fact, it makes my skin hydrated.

I was confused on how to use this product until today. The direction says to apply it on face, eyes and neck in the morning and evening. I thought since its a cleansing milk, it should be a cleanser! Even in the website shows the same direction. I gave a thought, wouldn’t it be like a makeup remover cleansing milk where you could just use directly without diluting it. I know this is silly but I have used it like a cleanser (literally tried lathering up with water! *LOL*  ) for a week and I freaking hate it at first because it doesn’t foam up. I broke out with 3-4 huge pimples at the end of the week. It was just today that I finally tried using it the proper way. What I did was dispensing it onto a facial cotton, rest the cotton onto my eye for a few seconds to melt my makeup and wipe away. It works!

I reckon the direction should be clearer as to state it as a makeup remover because people like me, I was unfamiliar with the product and laughing out my silliness for using it wrongly. I love how it helps to remove my makeup gently as well as waterproof mascara too. What I like about this is it keeps my skin hydrated without feeling too oily. Cleansing milk are usually suitable for dry skin type but I’m benefiting from it too. I only use it to remove my eye makeup and it doesn’t sting at all. Quite pricey for a full-sized but if you can afford, why not give it a try?
