Review: Cristalliser Ma Peau, Fantastique!

Does the title confuse you? Its in French and translates to ‘Crystallize My Skin, Fantastic!’. Oh yeah that was my attempt on French since Lancôme is from France. Its been a while since Lancôme launch their Blanc Expert Derm-Crystal Essence and I promised to do a review on the essence. Time really flies and it has been a month using the essence and I’m half bottle already. I’ve been using it religiously!

“Inspired by a drop of light, a crystalline texture in luminous packaging” – Lancôme Malaysia

The essence come in a dropper bottle with light and clear texture. I like how it comes in such bottle because its hygienic and the rubber around the rims of the bottle helps to filter out the excess essence around the dropper. I use 5-6 drops of this essence every morning, evening and night. Personally, I love patting any essence or serum all over my face after rubbing in between my palm. It does come with light alcohol with floral scent with it.

I was determined to be hardworking enough to snap my photo every week just to keep up for this review. It doesn’t show tremendous result but there was something this essence did to my skin. Week 1 photo was a tad bit yellow due to different camera setting, the rest was the same. What might differ is the angles of the lighting. Let’s feed through each week!

Week 1

After the first day of use, I already felt the difference. The next morning when I was lathering my cleanser on my face, I felt my skin is smoother. It sounds exaggerating but honestly, it is definitely an overnight improvement! It doesn’t promise to control oil but it wasn’t too oily to use it during the day. During this week, my BFF came over to my house. As soon as I removed my makeup, she asked ‘Oh my, your skin glows. I’ve never seen your skin being so healthy. What’s your secret?’. I smiled sheepishly and showed her the essence. Her words and my experience kept me going on using it.

Week 2

I started to notice my post-acne scarring starting to get lighter. I still get acne every now and then though this essence contains salicylic acid but it wasn’t strong enough to prevent it from flaring up. Anyhow, this product is not meant to kill acne. I also notice that my skin tone is much even.

Week 3

My skin looked really shiny in this, that’s because I applied my night skincare. The rest of the photos are right after cleansing. At this stage, I notice my skin is more plumped and of course, skin felt smoother than before.

Week 4

I felt the “boing-boing” effect on my cheeks. My skin doesn’t feel as dull as before and if you look at the images carefully, my skin has become less yellow every week. My skin seems much more rosy eh? This explains the luminous effect that the essence gave me.

Here is also an ingredient listing for this essence. I did not experience any irritation from the essence (I even applied it around my eyes) and it is also recommended for sensitive skin. Unless you are allergic or sensitive towards any particular ingredient above, this essence should be a problem to you.

Verdict?

I never really notice the difference until I compared the images of the four weeks and it did show gradual result. I highly recommend this for those who have dull and uneven skin tone. It does feel tacky on skin after application but it doesn’t stay long. It kept my skin moisturized and plumped, what’s best is to feel the ‘boing’ effect. The result that I least expect is my yellow undertone has lessen so much. Me hearts this essence!!!
