Review: Give It A Glamour Shot!

‘A cream with the results of make-up? Must be magic! Glamour Shot is the 1st transparent foundation to be applied over your daily moisturizer. Watch unwanted shine, fines lines, pores, redness and blemishes fade away in just seconds. Results: Wrinkles are visibly corrected.

The skin texture is smoothed, and the complexion is matte.’ – SAMPAR

Above is the full size of Sampar Glamour Shot which comes in a pump nozzle tube. I’m reviewing the sample size of 2.5ml which comes in a smaller tube without the pump nozzle. The description seems promising, sounded just like Talika Skin Retouch.

Here is the nozzle of the sample size, its still a neat design because the fluid wasn’t too runny. I just had to estimate how much I really need for my entire face, approximately half a pea size. A little goes a long way, I don’t need too much.

The texture is slightly thick but easy to blend on the back of my hand. Its moisturising but somehow it has that ‘silicone’ scent to it.

Here is a before and after. There’s is a settle difference which you have to look closely. The first powerful effect is it mattifies my skin, you could see there’s shine on my fore head and nose before using it and also it had brighten up my skin.

Experience?

At first I thought Glamour Shot was suppose to be a face primer but then I read the description again, it’s a transparent foundation. Its easy to blend and absorbs easily upon application with my fingers. The mattifying effect last about 3 hours but it still controls the oil which means my skin is not as oily as it used to be. I always use concealer and it gets  patchy around my eye area after blending with my fingers. The result differ when I use brush to blend, it is not as patchy.

Verdict?

Since it’s a transparent foundation, I expect a sheer natural coverage to conceal redness and dullness but this just  has great brightening and mattifying effect. If only it’s tinted, that would be great. As the mattifying effect starts to subside, I do feel as though its ‘floating’ on my skin. The texture is not as heavy as Talika Skin Retouch but I just wish the lasting effect extends longer.
