Review: Hypnotisant Dolly Cils

“The secret behind doll lashes, finally revealed!
Lancôme’s most flirtatious lash look. A volumized, extended and full lash fringe for a wide-eye look.

The secret behind this amazing result?
A new, unique, cone-shaped brush provides an extremely smooth and clean application, precisely defining even your hard-to-reach corners and lower lashes. Combined with the exclusively developed FiberShineTM formula, it sculpts, curls and loads each lash for the ultimate shiny lash fringe. Lift and thicken every single lash without weighing it down. Push up your lashes for your most flirty, wide open eye look.”  – Lancôme

My attempt again on French for the title, it translates to Hynôse Doll Eyes. I received this mascara from a girlish party by Lancôme Malaysia and look at how beautiful the mascara is. The designation of the tube is very sophiscated and elegant. This mascara shade is in So Black! I’m not sure if there will be any other shades available but in the U.S., I found that they have purple too. The tube is curvy and gets narrow by its tip.

This is the wand of the mascara and it does come in a cone shape where its wider at the bottom and narrows down. I like the narrow part because its easier to reach those tiny lashes at the inner corners as well as to apply on lower lashes. Let’s see how it does for my lashes.

Before

  • Here is my naked lashes and I have recreated my eye makeup from the party except that I added white eyeliner on the waterline for larger eyes effect. Prior to this review I also curl my lashes but cannot be seen in the image because I curled it after.

One Coat

  • The first coat of this mascara redefines and thickens lashes. Not as dramatic but my lashes are much visible here.

Two Coat

  • Gives so much more volume and what I like about coming to this stage, it doesn’t clump at all. I could layer the mascara without worrying it getting stuck in between my lashes. It also helps to lift my lashes in a tiny bit.

Extra Curl

  •  I wanted my lashes to be sky rocket high, so I curl it again with my lashes. See the effect? My eyes look much more opened and the lashes are all fan out.

Verdict?

I love it but I wish it has greater lifting power! I don’t mind curling my lashes again after applying this mascara because it surprises me every time I did it. I went ‘WOAH’ for the surprises and after I curl it for the second time, my lashes stay put at its position all day long. I love layering the mascara to my desired effect lashes. I’m not kidding you but the fan out effect is just amazing. Almost like having false lashes without worrying to reapply lash glue! The color of the mascara is pretty intense that when I remove it with my makeup remover I had to use two facial cotton on each eye to completely remove it. Its no fuss for me on removing it. It’s not in waterproof formula but it hasn’t smudge on me.
