Review: L’oreal Paris Total Repair 5 Damage Eraser Leave-On Oil Serum, Effective 5 Proven Results

Half of my hair is dry and damaged from all the chemical work and hot hair tools. Three weeks ago, I have decided to look for a hair serum and I picked up L’oreal Paris Total Repair 5 Damage Eraser Leave-On Oil Serum at Guardian for MYR13.95. It was on sale at that time but I think the retail price should be either below or slightly above MYR20. I’m a little skeptical on the texture because of the word ‘oil’ mentioned, just worried if it could possibly be too oily for my hair.

‘It instantly repairs your hair by addressing the 5 common hair problems like breakage, dryness, dullness, coarseness and split-ends. Say ‘Au Revoir’ bad hair days!’ – L’oreal Paris Malaysia Facebook

I often color my hair to cover the greys especially when my hair roots are showing and when hair dyes doesn’t stay long. I shampoo my hair daily due to having oily scalp and humid weather. Once shampooed and conditioned, I usually allow my hair to air-dry and poof! It gets frizzy and tangled too. I was hoping this serum comes to the rescue.

L'Oreal Paris Total Repair 5 Damage Eraser Leave-On Oil Serum Flip Top Lid

It comes with a flip top lid which you can see that the serum gets all over it after a while of using it but the best thing is that it doesn’t leak to the body of the bottle.

L'Oreal Paris Total Repair 5 Damage Eraser Leave-On Oil Serum Description and Ingredients

This serum is great for 5 different types of hair damages, breakage, dryness, dullness, coarseness and split-ends. Which hits the point of my hair concerns lately. From the ingredients, it does contained alcohol.

L'Oreal Paris Total Repair 5 Damage Eraser Leave-On Oil Serum Texture

The texture is slightly lighter than oil and it does felt greasy on hand. A little goes a long way for how much you need to use it on your hair. For as long as I’m using this serum, I have never squeeze a tinge bit on the bottle. What I did is to allow the serum to flow from the bottle, circling on my palm about 2 times and that’s the amount I’m using after shower. I also apply this serum before using hot tool on my hair and I use more of the serum just to protect my hair. I love the scent, sweet and refreshing, like fresh sweet scented flowers.

Verdict?

This serum was introduced in June, I find that this is inexpensive and I’m totally in love with it! Though I have no photos to show you a before and after (I wasn’t expecting myself to review this) but I can promise you that my hair is much more manageable, softer, shinier and it is an ease to run through my hair with my fingers.  I have never seen my hair in such state for a while ago.  The best effect that I’m totally impressed with, is using this serum with hot hair tools, it holds on to the style so well, makes my hair bouncier, shiny, smooth, soft and the style looks very natural. It is very economical for I have used it for 3 weeks daily and hot hair tools on weekends, I only used up to a quarter of the entire bottle. If you’re looking for some hair serum without spending too much, I totally recommend this!
