My hunt over whitening products is never ending and my recent concern on my skin is on the blackheads and rough skin texture. Therefore, I was looking for a face scrub that could help in whitening, remove impurities, improve skin texture and refine pores. First brand that came into my mind was Nivea and remembered that they do offer a range of whitening skin care. Therefore, I found Nivea Extra White Repair Pore Minimiser Scrub at Watsons .

RESULT: Visible radiant skin and water-like skin with refined pores in 7 days***.’
This face scrub doesn’t come with any box, just the tube itself with plastic seal surrounding the cap before use. It wasn’t stated that if this should be used daily but assuming from the description where it stated the result of ‘visible radiant skin and water-like skin with refined pores in 7 days’ lead me to think that I should be using this daily. I started off using only in the evening daily for the first week and morning and evening everyday on the second week.
I was very happy to notice that it doesn’t have Paraben, however it does have a small percentage of alcohol which I believe is fine for the skin as to kill the bacteria. I did notice that they have a few natural roots and flower extracts included in the scrub.
The cap is just at the bottom of the tube as ease the dispensing by squeezing the product. The texture of the scrub is quite thick where it needs quite a bit of effort to squeeze the scrub out.
This is what I was speaking of on the scrub texture and it requires quite a bit of water to lather up. Because the texture is very thick, approximately of 1 cm length of the scrub for each use is sufficient. Once lathered, I do notice that the micro-beads is all over and little in terms of the amount because I do felt as though it wasn’t scrubbing the way that I would have imagine.
I have put myself to try this scrub in the course of four weeks and I did see a little improvement for my skin texture but I’m still getting breakouts here and there. At least once a week , I would do sebum extraction myself and noticed that the amount of blackheads isn’t getting any lesser or smaller in terms of size. I do use make-up everyday and this doesn’t leave any make-up residue behind.
My skin does look slightly more radiant than before. Other than so, it’s challenging to notice there is a difference after using it for a month.
I made my purchase hoping that this scrub could help me but it wasn’t as effective as how it claims. It didn’t cleanse deep into my pores through my observation during my sebum extraction and didn’t prevent acnes from occurring as you could see through my four weeks of skin progress. As far as pore minimising concern, I couldn’t witness much difference. I do felt that this face scrub is just like a normal cleanser but there is always a room for improvement.
