Review: SILKYGIRL Big Eye Collagen Waterproof Mascara, Big Dolly Eye & It’s Waterproof!

‘SILKYGIRL’s new Big Eye Collagen Waterproof Mascara will lengthen lashes up to 80% longer with an added 20% curl (based on lab test data after multiple applications), resulting in bigger-looking eyes. With a special wand and key ingredients to ensure that each individual lash is coated to plump up lashes, get ready to give your eyes that ‘wow’ effect!

The SILKYGIRL Big Eye Collagen Waterproof Mascara is waterproof and smudge-proof, and is film mascara which can be easily removed with warm water.’ – SILKYGIRL

This mascara has 3 key ingredients to make the lashes appear longer for that big eye effect.

  • Collagen – plumps & protect lashes without drying them out
  • Super Black Intense Pigment – coats and thicken for fuller and voluminous lashes instantly
  • Film Formula – making the mascara long-lasting and smudge-proof, easy removal with just warm water

The shade for this mascara is called the Darkest Black and we will see if the black is dark enough. The wand is called the Speed-Fuller Lash Brush which is tapered shaped that has uniquely spaced polymer bristles to pick up the mascara and coats each lashes to build volume effectively and instantly.

Here is how the mascara goes on my lashes.

  • Curled – My bare lashes, I only had it curled with lash curler
  • Single Coat – Lashes are instantly darker and volumized
  • Double Coat – Lashes are more lifted and started to clump

The mascara formula is pretty wet, its easily smudge on the eye lid during the application but once I clean it, its gone for good. It’s been a while I have seen my lashes going sky high rocket like this.

I have tested this mascara for it’s long lasting formula and I’m impressed with its staying power. After 9½ hours , the curling power stays on and it did not smudge at all. I tried removing it with baby wipes and it comes off accordingly but it does take time to remove it since the black pigment is so intense.

Ingredients: Water, Acrylates/Ethylhexyl, Acrylate, Copolymer, Beeswax, Cellulose, Hydrogenated Polyisobuttene, Propylene Glycol, Plyvinyl, Acetate, Palmitic Acid, VP/Eicosene Copolymer,Stearic Acid, Triethanolamine, Paraffin, Glyceryl Stearate, Ceteth-15, Nylon-6, Phenoxyethanol, Dimethicone, Magnesium Aluminium, Silicate, Trimethysiloxysilicate, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Ethylhexyl Glycerin, Glycerin, Arachidic Acid, Methylisothiazolinone, Methylparaben, Myristic Acis, Soluble Collagen, Panthenol Biotinoyl, Tripeptide-1, Carbon Black (CI 77266).

I would definitely recommend this mascara for those who are looking for voluminous lashes. The black pigment definitely does its job to darken my lashes. When I tried double coating it, my lashes starts to look like ‘spider lashes’ and once the formula dries, its difficult to layer the mascara on. I do wish that the bristles at the tip of the brush are longer for it to coat tiny lashes at the inner corners. I would put the removing the mascara at moderate level because its not too easy to remove and it’s not as tough but I’m convinced of its staying and curling power, definitely worth trying.
