Review: Sleek Acid i-Divine Palette & Swatches

‘The Acid i-Divine Palette contains a fusion of vibrant colours for the more daring, with bright pinks to luminous greens amongst the 12 highly-pigmented pressed mineral-based eye shadow shades.  This palette combines matte and shimmer formulations with neon and complimentary shades that keep their vibrancy on all skin tones.

The velvet-touch consistency gives full and shimmering coverage to the eye lid for maximum effect. Each shade can be applied alone for a dramatic effect or mixed to create a personalised look.

Best applied with the applicator enclosed.’ – Sleek Makeup

I’ve gotten this palette last month and I love all the bright vibrant colors! Sleek comes from UK and well known for its affordability and highly pigmented makeups. The designation of the palette has updated from their previous packaging. Of course, it comes with a full sized mirror on the cover of the palette and dual ended sponge applicator. I kept the applicator aside because I’m used to using brushes. This series of palette comes with 12 eye shadows with a mix of matte and shimmery formula, below are the swatches.

I separated to two images for the swatches for better close ups. I have no primer applied  underneath the swatches at all.

Top row from left to right:

  • Left – magenta with metallic purplish finish
  • Middle – matte white
  • Right – matte bright yellow with lime green undertone

Bottom row from left to right:

  • Left – matte lavender
  • Middle – shimmery moss green
  • Right – matte hot pink

Here is the other side portion of the palette. Remember, I have no primer applied.

Top row from left to right:

  • Left – matte soft orange
  • Middle – shimmery blue
  • Right – shimmery light blue

Bottom row from left to right:

  • Left – matte neon green
  • Middle – shimmery silver
  • Right – matte black
Ingredients listing are as of below:

Mica (CI 77019), Talc, Paraffinum Liquidum, Magnesium Stearate, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Dimethicone, Propylparaben, Methylparaben

MAY CONTAIN: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Yellow 6 Lake (CI 15985), Yellow Iron Oxide (CI 77492), Red Iron Oxide (CI 77491), Red 6 Lake (CI 15850:1), Red 7 Lake (CI 15850:1), Red 27 Lake (CI 45410:2), Ultramarine (CI 77007), Hydrated Chromium Green (CI 77289), Ferric Ferrocyanide (CI 77510), Black Iron Oxide (CI 77499)

Just like many eye shadows, shimmer ones shows up more pigmented and the matte ones shows up great if you have primer underneath it. The shimmery light blue does have fall outs and doesn’t seem to be pressed nicely but it didn’t shatter. The matte black because the pigment doesn’t show as much and it was quite reluctant to transfer when I’m doing the swatch. As for the matte eye shadows, its color intensity is buildable.

I wish each of these eye shadows have their name or code at least, much easier to address each of them. I love this palette although I expected more from the matte black. This palette is still affordable for the number and quality of the eye shadows you get there. Its really pigmented even by using brushes for application.
