Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush is one of the highly raved blusher among the makeup junkies and I finally get my hands on it. YAY! Tarte has hit into Sephora Malaysia stores since November 2013 and I really wonder why many would love this blusher. Now I get my hands on it and I’m a happy girl that been using it for 2 weeks.
‘A long-wearing, supremely soft blush infused with Amazonian clay harvested from the banks of the Amazon River and naturally baked by the sun.
Product Performance: This 12-hour blush universally benefits all skin types for a fade-free, flawless finish in shades ranging from soft to vivid and matte to shimmer to suit a wide variety of skin tones.
Powered By: Amazonian clay minimizes oil in and around pores to balance skin and keep product in place while also hydrating the skin naturally to restore moisture, reducing the appearance of dry, flaky skin.’
Tarte designs is usually more towards the nature where you could see vines, leaves or wood elements. For the blush, the case is designated round with spiral vines and leaves on the front of the case. The casing is made of plastic yet sturdy.
It’s a flip open case with full length mirror and the blusher is imprint nature motives including the name of Tarte.
A closer look to the imprint on the blusher. Whenever there is imprint on any makeup, it’s hard for me to put myself to use it because they look pretty! The shade does look dark from the pan but always keep in mind, less is better.
The shade that I have here is called Achiote, it’s rose color with orange undertone. Almost like an apricot color but redder. Though from the pan, it may look dark but it is not as it seems.
I would normally apply the blusher with makeup brush and I prefer to have light blush. I apply this by swirling my brush onto the blusher, gently pat in the middle of my cheeks with a smile and blend them in. Because I have oblong face, I tend to blend the blusher vertically across to shorten my facial feature.
I applied light handed and it’s good enough to make me blush. The before and after might not seem dramatic but I’m able to noticed that the blush can be blended effortlessly and looks natural on me.

Above all…
I could understand why this blush is highly raved. It is well pigmented that when it comes to applying and blending, it felt so easy and effortless. There is no need to swirl the brush over the pan as much. The blush appears so natural on the skin because it doesn’t look chalky and as though I’m naturally blushing. It gives a matte and soft finish, great for all skin types. I have yet to hear it for 12 hours but I could say that it lasted very well throughout 9 hours. I could not find any reason not to love this blush.
