Simple Daisy Nails Tutorial

The weather is cooling down with rains and cloudy days. On the west side of the globe, its transitioning to fall season. That doesn’t mean you can’t wear cute pastel shades on your nails. I’m not sure if it works for you, looking at pastel colors somehow brightens and lightens my day. This nail tutorial is rather simple, having sky blue shades with tiny detail of flowers and I’d like to call it Simple Daisy Nails.

Simple Daisy Nails Tutorial 2

My white nail polish is a little thick and it tend to get stringy when I created the petals but it doesn’t look too bad. I create additional daisy on my thumb for another corner of my nail bed. For some reason, the daisy does look like a bulls eye egg to me, LOL!

Malaysia Independence Day is here and just to show some patriotism, I’m back with another nail tutorial having Malaysia flag nails!  It’s really simple and fun design but slightly time consuming. Not going to rant more, let’s rock into the tutorial.

Malaysia Flag Nails Tutorial - What You'll Need

  1. Base Coat
  2. White Nail Polish
  3. Royal / Dark Blue Nail Polish
  4. Bright Yellow Nail Polish
  5. Red Nail Polish
  6. Top Coat
  7. Small Tip Brush

Malaysia Flag Nails Tutorial - How To

  1. Apply base coat to avoid nail discoloration.
  2. Apply white nail polish on thumb, ring finger and pinkie.
  3. Apply blue nail polish on the index and middle finger.
  4. Use red nail polish and create horizontal stripes on white nails.
  5. Repeat the same but create vertical stripes on the thumb.
  6. Use the fine tip brush, dip into yellow and draw a crescent on the index finger and star as many points, best to hit 13 points.
  7. Seal everything up with the top coat and you’re done!

Malaysia Flag Nails Tutorial 2

When you’re done you can see how the stripes on the thumb comes along when you put them together like this. My crescent and star is not as finely drawn because it can be tricky during that step when you want to ensure the opacity of those shapes.

Sailor Nails Tutorial

Since its all about the summer vibe now, I couldn’t help to think of the wind and beach. A great place to unwind which inspires me to create this nails. We all now how sailors are all dressed in their white uniform with blue stripes and red scarfs. Not going to babble more, please enjoy the Sailor Nails tutorial!

Sailor Nails Tutorial - What You'll Need

What you’ll need is,

  1. Top coat
  2. Base coat
  3. White nail polish
  4. Blue nail polish
  5. Shiny red and blue tape
  6. Tiny brush

Sailor Nails Tutorial - Before Applying

Before I start on the nail art, I stuck the tapes onto my cutting board and cut them into tiny stripes with my rotating cutter. If you happen to have nail striping tape like this, it would be much easier and you can skip this step.

Sailor Nails Tutorial - How To

  1. Protect your nail bed by applying base coat
  2. Apply white nail polish as a base color and allow it to dry completely
  3. Carefully using a tweezer ,  place the tape over the nail and snip off the excess.
  4. Try something fancy by drawing an anchor on one of your nails.
  5. Protect the nail art by applying a top coat, allow it to dry and DONE!

Sailor Nails Tutorial - Left Hand

I accidentally smudged on my anchor, I wasn’t aware that it was yet to dry. If you happen to cut the tape like I do, try to cut them thinly or you’ll end up like mine with limited space to place the tape.

Sailor Nails Tutorial - Right Hand

Here is my right hand where my nails are fully on stripe design. I thought these nails are simple and fancy at the same time. If you happen to try this remember to share it with me and good luck!
