Canmake Spring 2013 Trend @ International Beauty Expo - Sweet Taste

Sweet Taste

Creating that cute innocent sweet look, pink eye shadows were used and brighten the eyes on the lower lash line with Kira Kira. Everything got to be pink including the blusher and lips, brows are are softer with lighter color using brow mascara.

Canmake Spring 2013 Trend @ International Beauty Expo - Natural Taste

Natural Taste

This is more of a neutral look where colors of the eyeshadows used are champagne, white, gold and brown. The blusher and lip colors are more orange tones. Not to be missed to bring Kira Kira on the lower lashes line. In between of the make-up demonstration, there are a few make-ups circulating around for us to try.

Canmake Spring 2013 Trend @ International Beauty Expo - Smooth Skin Primer

Canmake Smooth Skin Primer

This is an upcoming product, a primer to be applied before your makeup.  It helps to reduce the appearance of pores with matte finish. The texture is light and thick cream, once blended, it finishes off smooth and velvety. This is very interesting and I’m very into matte finishing product especially when I have combination skin.

Canmake Spring 2013 Trend @ International Beauty Expo - Smooth Liquid Foundation

Canmake Smooth Liquid Foundation

When Ms Itabashi used this foundation during the make-up demo, the foundation looked pretty sheer until I swatch it myself. It comes in a pump bottle, the texture is light but the coverage is medium to full. I’m not sure if this will be suitable for combination to oily skin. This foundation is also an upcoming product for Canmake in Malaysia.

Canmake Spring 2013 Trend @ International Beauty Expo - Perfect Brown Eyes & Swatch

Canmake Perfect Brown Eyes

This quad palette was used on the Natural Taste make-up, the eye shadow is very sheer as you can see from the swatch. Its shimmery with glitter and this quad also comes with an applicator.

Canmake Spring 2013 Trend @ International Beauty Expo - Brown Eyeliner

Canmake Brown Eyeliner

I always love Japanese eye liners because they are so easy to use. Both make-up demonstrated is on the softer look hence using this eye liner. This is a felt tip eye liner and its only available in brown.

Cherry Blossom Spring Makeup Tutorial

When it comes to spring, how could I forget cherry blossoms? They are one of my favourite flower at all times with hope that one day I could see the real flower itself. Cherry blossom or sakura are blooms in spring and its a waste that it only last for a week. I’m a little jumpy in the video, don’t mind me I’m just too excited to share it with you. Enjoy!

If you look at the eye makeup closely, they seem a little dramatic but I promise that its wearable in a different way. It’s a spring makeup after all. I love how it shows nicely shaped petals whenever you look down.

See? It doesn’t look as dramatic isn’t it? Instead it looked pretty dolly, sweet and delicate.

Don’t be afraid to wear colors for this spring. To match with this look, you can try any simple and cute hairstyle.

That’s my bed behind me with strawberry plushie and red panda hand puppet, on the right side of the image is my bag hanger.  Background exposed! This is also the place I usually do my filming, I’m always sitting on my bed!

DIY Floral Twine

Floral twine is a very common accessory in fashion especially during spring, where all the flowers are blooming. I searched and found little stall in Sungei Wang selling ready made ones. I’m not kidding you but it was expensive. It was approximately 40cm,  it cost MYR10 and two for MYR15.  I opted to find materials to make them myself and here is a DIY tutorial. Please enjoy!

Its so easy and simple right? All the items from Daiso for MYR5 each. I bought the roll of twine and two packets of flowers. All sums up to MYR15 and after the tutorial above, I still extras which I could make more. Its definitely better than purchasing ready made ones!

I wore this for my Pastel Spring Makeup and if you haven’t seen it, please do here. You could wear it anyhow you want on your hair, neck, wrist or even as a belt depending on the length that you made. Its very feminine, cute and chic. What’s spring without flowers right?

Cherry Blossom Nails

Cherry blossom a.k.a sakura has been one of my favorite flower and since Spring is here, this is a good excuse for some blossoming flowers on my nails. My nails has been naked without any nail polish for almost a week since it was all short and stubby, it has finally grown out for a bit and I hadn’t really do any nail tutorial for a while. Let’s get started!

First, I applied base coat to strengthen and protect my nails from turning yellow. This is my long time favorite base coat from The Face Shop, I haven’t come across any that helps to strengthen and nourishes my nails so well. If you have any better recommendations, do let me know!

Second is to apply this pale pink nail color. This nail polish has iridescent shine to it and its from The Face Shop as well. I applied two coats as this is sheer and the whites of my nails are very white hence still showing very much even after the double coat.

Using a dotting tool, I dotted gold glitter in the middle at my lower nails. Only for my thumb nail, I have dotted at the side to make the design a little different.

I applied the base coat around the gold glitter dot and put on cherry blossom petals, two for each nail and three for the thumb. The petals are from fimo clay stick where I bought them from night markets. They are in little stick from where you have to cut them yourself and I store mine in contact lens bottle since I have them lying around.

This is a last minute decision to add on more dots on the tips since it was a little plain after the previous step. Again, did the dotting with gold glitter nail polish and it didn’t turn out too bad.

Apply top coat to protect your nail designs to make it last longer and shine beautifully. Clean up the sides and finish off by applying cuticle oil right after. We’re done!

This is the final look, I love how it turned out although my nails aren’t too long, what do you think? I will have a makeup tutorial to come along with this soon. Stay tuned!
