My Third Fractional CO2 Laser, Redder & Longer Downtime

Through my journey of undergoing Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, some of you have asked how the treatment was and have my skin improve from the treatment. I would say my skin did improve and I have received compliments that my complexion looks better now.  Precisely, my BF’s uncle who mentioned it out of blue when we were speaking of lifestyle and health. The comments just didn’t stop there because it also comes from Facebook and Instagram where friends and readers noticed my skin has been improving. With this, I’m sharing my third treatment experience last Saturday after 3 weeks from my second treatment. You can also tap into my previous treatment experience, first and second treatment.

Fractional CO2 Laser

As for my third treatment, it is similar to what was done on my second treatment where subcision was involved and laser comes after. Because Dr Lashela did mention that she will set to an even stronger beam, the beautician had applied numbing cream for me twice as to a stronger numbing effect too. During the subcision, I did felt a little pain as doctor injected it under my depressed scars around my nose and cheek area, it is literally slightly more painful than the laser. Since the numbing cream has been doubled the application, I couldn’t feel any pain from the laser at all. Do bare in mind that the subcision and Fractional CO2 Laser are priced differently.

Fractional CO2 - After Treatment

This is me after my treatment and yes, my face was as red as a monkey’s butt. Just like how doctor mentioned, as the beam goes stronger the downtime will be longer too which I didn’t mind at all. The down time for my second treatment took about a week slightly faster than the first, maybe because I have started on Retin-A cream which actually helps in healing and build collagen. You can see also some scabs on my nose on the after photo which was the result from the subcision. This time doctor didn’t give me any jabs to reduce the reddening like how she did on my second treatment but I’m fine with it as I decided to rest at home after the treatment.

Fractional CO2 Laser - After 2 Treatments

Since I have already done a few treatments, I wanted to share a comparison on my overall face skin texture improvement. I tell you nothing but the truth, look at the photos and you can tell that my skin became smoother gradually.

Fractional CO2 Laser - After 2 Treatments Close Up

Here’s a close up and if you look closely, the depressed scars on the side of my nose is improving too. I would like to add on to this that the size of the blackheads that was extracted off from my face are getting much smaller. I’d like to think that pore size not only shrunk by the skin surface but deep within my skin, it has shrunk. This is a good news as to my pores is no longer allowing the dirt and sebum to further clog as much as before.

Fractional CO2 Laser - Nose Area After 2 Treatments

As I did mentioned from my first treatment, I was looking out to improve my depressed scars and I have a lot of them particularly on my nose area. Here is close up comparison on my nose area, please excuse my big nose 🙁 . With the tiny arrows pointing at the scars, you can actually see that they are improving gradually after each treatment. They are either less deep or the scar size has shrunk. I will further show you the difference again after my downtime of my third treatment is over.

Previously, I was unhappy with their arrangement on my second visit for the treatment as mentioned in my previous post. I have showed my concern to Mediviron UOA Clinic and I see improvement this time! Everything was arranged as accordingly just like how it was for my first treatment with lesser waiting time. I’m thankful that they have taken my feedback into consideration as I believe this will not only cater for me but also for their future potential customers. • I wish I could but open pores are still visible and those dark circles, totally unavoidable.
