My Apartment, Unilodge @ Swinburne Place

Hi, again! I have been updating very often because I really wanted to share what I have experienced in the past and it was fun and exciting. Upon request, I’m posting some of the apartment pictures that I’m living now in Melbourne. I was planning to post the pictures anyway. Currently, I’m living at Unilodge @ Swinburne Place. My room is regular size and the payment per week is $198 (which is pretty expensive to me!: P) Anyways, the apartment is fully carpeted except for the bathroom. Let’s look at the pictures!

Welcome to My Room!

This is my room. Lovely room and I love it. In this room, there is an open wardrobe with shelves and drawers, a single size bed with mattress protector only (bed sheets and blankets or quilts is not provided), there you may see a shelf attached on the wall above the bed, there is a study desk with a notice board attached on the wall and right above the notice board there is a two-tier shelves. On my desk, there is a table lamp and a telephone is provided. Radiator heater is also provided in my room. Let’s look at the bathroom.

This is the bathroom. I’m sharing it with my house mate. In the bathroom, there is a huge mirror about five feet tall with a washing basin, five-tier shelf, toilet seat, toilet bowl brush is provided, a single door shower cubicle, and a double towel rail. The bathroom floor id fully tiled and a small bin is provided, it is placed at the bottom of the washing basin. The only thing bad about this bathroom is there is no heater in it. So when I first took my bath I was freezing cold when I stepped out of the shower. Okay, now let me show you the kitchen, one of my favorite spot in the apartment.

Why this spot is one of my favorite spot? Duh~ this space is filled with everyone’s food and I love cooking. As you can see from the pictures, there is  a refrigerator, electric stove, hood, microwave, washing basin, dish drainer, higher and lower cabinets, and drawers. We have been DSCN2109provided with kitchen utensils such as pans and pots, cutleries, turner, ladle, can opener, potato masher and an electric kettle (which was very dirty, we seek for help from the reception and they told us to get the kettle cleanser and wash it ourselves!). We also have different types of glasses which are the normal drinking glasses, tea or coffee cups, porcelain cups, wine glasses and champagne glasses. Other than that, plates and bowls are also provided. Here the dining table is very simple; the table is square with only four chairs.

This is the common area, where there is a couch, two units of single seat leather chair, a coffee table, a radiator heater, and a NEC television. Along with it there is a sliding door, an access to the balcony. Nothing much in this common area, just a place to hang out to watch TV, eating snacks, and some drinking sessions: P (All of us are drinking vodka and whiskey almost every week. The bottles are provided by my dearly Malaysian friend, Joel)

This is the view from the balcony. Straight upright view and facing down view from my apartment balcony.

I think that’s about the apartment. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask about it. I’ll try my best to provide you with an excellent answer.
